One of my favorites rides over the years is the Hills R Us ride put on each Wednesday by the Western Wheeler bicycle club. The ride starts in Los Altos and most always goes up over the mountain range between Silicon Valley and the ocean, sometimes going out to the coast before returning.

I had always wanted to take Ann on the ride and since we needed to take the tandem in to get the new drum brake installed, we decided to do the ride on the tandem.

We headed first up Page Mill Road. It is quite a climb.

After reaching Skyline Blvd, we headed down Alpine West, then over to Highway 84 for a climb back up. We took Old Lahonda back up to Skyline. I noticed it when Ann started to take some pictures. Must be because she was breathing down my neck again. We even passed Roger on the way up.

After reaching Skyline, we decided to go off the official route and head back up to Highway 84 and take it down to the valley. We meet the rest of the riders for lunch in Los Altos. It was a very fun day.
